Despite shutting out Big 12 power Texas A&M through three innings, the Aggies' offense exploded in the fourth and wouldn't look back as they went on to down the Penn State baseball team, 17-3 on Tuesday evening at Olsen Field. A pair of bunt singles sparked A&M's (10-2) four-run fourth-inning rally to open the scoring. The Nittany Lions (4-4) look to bounce back Wednesday evening at 7:35 p.m. ET as redshirt senior Mike Wanamaker gets the start for the first time since the 2008 season.

Softball. Errors Costly in Softball's 5-2 Loss to Central Michigan
The Penn State softball team struggled at the plate and in the field on Tuesday night, falling to Central Michigan, 4-2, at the Eddie C. Moore Complex Field No. 2. The Lions generated just five hits and two errors led to four CMU runs. Freshman Lauren Rossi (Yardley, Pa.) belted her first collegiate homer in the loss.

The Penn State men's tennis team (11-1, 1-0) increased its winning streak to nine matches with a 7-0 victory over the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers on Tuesday afternoon in Myrtle Beach. Penn State is off to its best start record-wise since the 2006 season when the Nittany Lions started 11-1 as well.

Big Ten Announces Hiring of Diane Dietz
Big Ten Commissioner James E. Delany announced that Diane Dietz has been hired as Chief Communications Officer. Dietz will lead all conference communications efforts and work to integrate conference communications where appropriate with institutional and Big Ten Network endeavors. All releases, branding and promotional efforts as well as new and traditional media messaging will be overseen by Dietz. She will assume her new role at the conference office on May 3.

W. Tennis. Iowa's Molnar Named Big Ten Athlete of the Week
Molnar earns her first Big Ten Athlete of the Week honor after helping the No. 54 Hawkeyes to a pair of wins over Missouri and No. 24 DePaul over the weekend. Playing at No. 1 singles and doubles for Iowa, Molnar defeated the Tigers' Jamie Mera, 6-0, 6-4, then teamed with Merel Beelen to defeat the top Missouri team, 8-4. Against the Blue Demons on Sunday, Molnar and Beelen again teamed up at No. 1 doubles, this time knocking off the No. 10 tandem of Anna Redecsi and Selma Salkovic, 9-7. Later in the match, Molnar defeated Redecsi, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) to secure the clinching point as the Hawkeyes earned a 4-3 win.
